Korean Mountain Ash

If you want a tree with personality and good looks to boot, the Sorbus alnifolia, or Korean mountain ash tree, is your type.  When you hear the words “mountain ash,” you’d most likely associate it with leaves like ash.  However, this is a specific type that is a member of the rose family and is therefore exempt from the rule.  Korean mountain ash leaves are beech-like, and the rest of the tree is pretty spectacular too: the pomes that dangle from the flowers range in colors like pink to orange to deep red.
