Graduate Fellowships
The Mary May Binney Wakefield Arboretum works with local colleges and universities to provide graduate- and undergraduate-level research fellowships and internships. Depending on the school and program, research fellowships are either for stipend or for school credit. Over the past years, students from Boston University, Curry, Simmons College, Harvard University, University of Massachusetts/Boston, The Conway School of Landscape Design, The Landscape Institute and the Winterthur Museum have conducted research at the property in the following areas:
- Collections Research and Management (furniture, art, etc.)
- Archival and Library Studies
- Landscape Design and Research
- Archaeology and GIS
- Historic Buildings and Architecture
- Mineralogy
- Environmental Science
- Marketing/Communications
