Opening the Gates to a Cluster of Great Metrowest Gardens

This Sunday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy Garden Conservancy Greater Boston Open Day.

Start your day with a stroll through hundreds of kousa dogwoods here at the Wakefield Estate, host garden for this year’s Open Days Program. Then grab your map and head out to explore some of the area’s best gardens, all less than 10 miles from the estate.

Visit ten private gardens in Hyde Park, Milton, and West Roxbury, MA. The garden of Judy Bucklen in West Roxbury has been added to this Open Day after the publication of the Open Days Directory.

Admission is $5 per garden. Day passes ($30 for all ten gardens) will be available at each private garden.

In addition, three public gardens in Rosindale and West Roxbury will also be open on this date.

The Mary M. B. Wakefield Charitable Trust is proud to partner with the Garden Conservancy to bring you this special Open Day, featuring a group of private and public gardens clustered in Milton, Hyde Park, West Roxbury, and Roslindale. Some offer awe-inspiring beauty or captivating whimsy, while others offer insightful approaches to typical gardening challenges.
