Wakefield Charitable Trust Calendar Of Events

Polly Wakefield patented 7 very special kousa dogwoods during her lifetime. She monitored her collection closely looking for unique features including bark, leaf shape, color and flowers(called bracts). She then patented these unique plants which are still available in nurseries today. Arboretum director Debbie Merriam will discuss Polly's work while taking a stroll through the collection to look at some of these unique features.
